Module 1 - Planning for Effective Public Participation - April 16 & 17, 2012

This 2 day course provides an introduction to the IAP2 foundations of effective public participation programs, including a five-step planning process in which participants will learn how to set clear objectives,determine the appropriate level of public participation, and deliver on a promise to the public.  This module is a pre-requisite for Modules 2 and 3.

Module 2 - Communications for Effective Public Participation - April 18, 2012

This one day course offers an overview and introduction to the communications skills needed by public participation practitionesr, including the Principles of Authentic Communication and things to consider regarding the preparing materials for use in public participation programs.

Module 3 - Techniques for Effective Public Participati0on - April 19 & 22, 2012

This two day module provides an introduction to a range of practical tools and techniques used in public participation. You will have a chance to try our or observe several specific techniques that you will find useful in your public participation programs.
