P2 Career Profile Survey Deadline February 28th
Public engagement encompasses a wide range of job positions, business sectors, and professionals with diverse backgrounds. As a result of this diversity there is currently no information available regarding the trends in salaries, education and training backgrounds, and career development, etc. within the public engagement field.
Have you ever wondered:
• What are the employment trends in the public engagement field?
• What are the salary trends for public engagement professionals?
• What education and training do they have?
• Where do they work?
• What positions do they hold?
• What is the opportunity for career advancement in the field?
These are just a few of the important questions that provide valuable information to both professionals in the field and to those considering entering the public engagement profession, but that we can’t answer for the public engagement profession. Before the holidays we developed this career profile survey and encouraged members to complete it. Uptake has been slow, but that happens during the December, so we have extended the deadline to Feb. 28 to encourage more member participation. If you haven’t already completed this important survey, take a few minutes to fill it out at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/F292G8N
This pilot survey is intended to start to develop a career profile for the public engagement field within Canada. This survey is developed and administered by IAP2 Wild Rose Chapter, and is being conducted Canada wide. The survey is completely anonymous and the IP addresses of respondents are not collected. All results will be reported in aggregate and will be made available through the Canadian IAP2 Chapters.
The survey should take less then 10 minutes to complete. As the survey is a pilot, the final question invites you to share your comments on the survey itself. If this pilot is successful, the intent is to conduct the survey on an annual basis to identify career trends in public engagement.
Thanks for taking time to complete this survey and help build a Public Engagement Career Profile.
